shor-t's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Surf Party Vietnam I went to visit family, but I don't know whose and I initially didn't know where. The house was similar to a North American home but just slightly different. It may have been the electrical sockets or the smell of the food that had been cooked. I went outside to have a look around. There was a river nearby that I went to look at. Philip was there which really didn't excite me much, but he wanted to swim in the river. I saw Danny G. there and talked to him about a koi tattoo. I sheepishly asked about his. He showed it to me and it was a little different than he remembered it. He told me that it would take about 52 hours to do one for me, because he like to put in a little touch at the end like a little tree or something. He said it would be something he could use both hands for. I looked into the river and saw some koi swimming, which made me believe that I was in Asia. I looked at my arm and saw that I now had a koi tattoo. I was pretty happy. I jumped into the water and splashed around. The shore was sandy, but there was trash lying around. I saw a dead squirrel lying under a big stick. That kind of put me off, so I jumped into the crystal clear water of the river again. Philip was swimming along the bottom and I could see that he kept stepping on barnacles. This made me believe that we were by the ocean. I went back to the house, and everyone was Vietnamese. I mentioned to the lady of the house how nice a place it was, and asked if the ocean was nearby on account of the saltwater river. She beckoned to the window and I could see trees and a small harbour. I told her how lovely it was. The man of the house started talking trash about other Asian cultures, when suddenly a whole bunch of gun barrels smashed through the windows. I hit the floor, but the other people in the house started firing back with machine guns. Nobody got hurt, but the house was in pieces. I looked through the tattered drapes and saw a convoy of military vehicles leaving. 8:41 a.m. - 2006-11-07 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
